Department of Microbiology
Vision
The Microbiology department aims to equip students with conceptual learning and provide knowledge of experimental tools.
The department provides regular classrooms, Google classrooms, independent experiential learning in traditional fields of Life sciences.
The department works to develop responsible learners and researchers.
It aims to prepare students for undergraduate, post-graduate, and Ph.D.
It emphasizes independent and collaborative research.
The department strives to foster active learners, acknowledging the different goals and backgrounds of students.

Aims and Objectives:
The Department of Microbiology seeks to provide a basic understanding of Microbiology and the scientific method.
Establishing collaboration between microbiology and all academic disciplines.
Encouraging microbiology outreach to the local community.
Learning about and practicing the safe and responsible use of antibiotics.

Staff presented paper in national conference (EELS-2023) at Shivchhatrapati College Aurangabad.
Organized industrial visit at Sula Vineyard for B.Sc. and M.Sc. students in November 2022.
Department of Microbiology, Shivchhatrapati college organized workshop sponsored by Hi Media Laboratories on “Techniques in Gene cloning” in Feb 2020.
Student selected for state level Avishkar competition organized by university of Mumbai in Jan 2020.
