Vision
To contribute effectively to the important national Endeavour to produce quality human resource in the information technology and related areas for sustainable development of the country’s IT industry needs.
To advance the state of the art in computer science and engineering by working on cutting edge research topics, publishing quality research papers and filing enduring patents.
To serve the local and the national community by creating awareness about IT related products and to impress upon then the importance of knowledge management.
Mission
To produce highly qualified and motivated graduates through a rigorous curriculum of theory and application that develops the ability to solve problems, individually and in teams.
Creating knowledge of fundamental principles and innovative technologies through research within the core areas of computer science and also in inter-disciplinary topics.
Serving the communities to which we belong at local and national levels, combined with a deep awareness of our ethical responsibilities to our profession and to society.
Aims and Objectives:
Develop an understanding of how computing technology presents new ways to address problems; and to use computational thinking to analyse problems and to design, develop and evaluate solutions
Read, write, test, and modify computer programs
Develop an understanding of how computers work; the component parts of computer systems and how they interrelate, including software, data, hardware, communications, and users
Appreciate the ethical and social implications relating to the use of computing technology and information and identify the impact of technology on personal life and society
Understand how information technology has changed over time and the effects these changes may have on education, the workforce, and society
Evaluate the accuracy, relevance, appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and bias of online information sources
Work independently and collaboratively, communicate effectively, and become responsible, competent, confident, reflective, and creative users of computing tech
