The Biotechnology department strives to foster the holistic development of students across all dimensions of Life Sciences
The department is dedicated to student- centered activities, aiming to equip students with conceptual learning and a comprehensive understanding of experimental tools.
Students in the department have access to regular classrooms, Google classrooms, as well as independent experiential learning opportunities in the traditional fields of Life Sciences.
The Department’s focus is on cultivating responsible learners and researchers.
Its primary objective is to prepare students for both undergraduate and post-graduate studies.
The department places significant emphasis on fostering independent and collaborative research skills
Recognizing the diverse goals and background of students, the department aims to support and empower all learners, including those who may require additional time and support.

The Department of Biotechnology is dedicated to equipping its students with a strong foundation in Life Sciences and through understanding of the scientific method.
The department actively encourages biotechnologists to engage in extension activities, promoting the application of biotechnological knowledge for the benefit of society

Dr. Savita Kate, Dr. Sarika Girdhari, Ms. Kalyani Pawar and Ms. Anuja Kurevaru as a Resource person in one day Workshop on “Reframing of M.Sc. Biotechnology Syllabus as per New Structure” on 24/03/2023 organized by Department of Biotechnology, Shivchhatrapati College in collaboration with Internal Quality Assurance Cell.
Dr. Savita Kate as a Research paper Reviewer for International journal of Microbiology, Jordan Journal of Biological Science. (JJBS Scopus), Journal of international Biochemistry, Asian Journal of Biology and Journal of global Agriculture and ecology.
Dr. Savita Kate’s and Dr. Sarika Girdhari’s got mentor certificate of Pune University for guiding research project of PG student which was selected for the state level Avishkar Competition.
Dr. Sarika Girdhari and Ms. Pratiksha Guthe has presented research paper in 6th international conference(20-21 January 2023) on Recent Trends in Bioengineering(ICRTB) at School Of Bioscience, MIT. Pune.
Ms. Pratiksha Guthe, Ms. Shubhangi Pardeshi and Komal Joshi has attended two days workshop on “National workshop on characterization techniques in chemical Sciences 2023” on 27-28 February 2023, organized by Government Institute of Forensic Science, Aurangabad.
Ms. Pratiksha Guthe, Ms. Shubhangi Pardeshi, Mrs. Rani Chavan and Ms. Anuja Kurevaru has attended orientation program on “One Day Orientation Program on Research Development” – 1st January 2023, organized by Deogiri College , Aurangabad.
Ms. Neha Pawar has qualified MH-SET conducted by SPPU, in year 2021.

Ms. Kalyani Pawar has secured First position in One day workshop on How to make social media work for you? Held on 4th January 2020, organized by Department of Computer Science, SCC Aurangabad.
Mrs. Manisha Chalse has participated and secured Third position in University level Avishkar competition organized by Dr. B.A.M.U. on 21/01/20.
Dr. Savita Kate as an Evaluator /Judge for MGM’s IBT organizing Science competition “Srujan 2020”.
Mrs. Ashwini Pujari has completed four month post graduate certificate NPTEL online Course entitled “Plant Cell Bio-processing” organized by IIT Madras.
Mr.Umesh Shete Mrs. Kalyani Pawar, Ms. Mayuri Kale have attended the National Level Conference entitled “Emerging Trends and Challenges in Biosciences ETCB-2019” on 11th August 2019 at Beed.

Dr. Savita Kate got award of Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Microbiology on 17 July.2018.
Mrs. Rohini Pungle has published two papers during this academic year entitled Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant potentiality of Solanum xanthocarpum and Green Synthesis of ZnO nanoparticles from Emblica officinalis fruit extract in African Journal of Biotechnology and International Journal of current research respectively.
Mrs. Manisha Chalse and Mrs. Ashwini Pujari registered for PhD in Dr. B.A.M.U. Aurangabad.
Miss. Sandhya Yadav, Mr. Vipin Hiremath, and Miss. Trupti Namekar have attended one day Orientation Programme on Dimensions of curriculum, teaching-learning and Evaluation in Balbhim College, Beed dated 2nd Sep. 2018 .

Miss. Trupti Namekar has qualified NET-LS (Rank 52) on 27th November 2018 conducted by CSIR-UGC, New Delhi.
Miss. Neha Chavan worked as Programme Co-ordinator for ‘State level Research paper Presentation Competition’ on 29th Dec.2018.
