Organization of enrichment programs for student


National Level Innovative Idea Presentation Competition 2020 (NLPC-2.0)

The department of chemistry & Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) has organized National Level PPT Presentation Competition on Innovative Idea (NLPC-2.0) on 18th January 2020


Certificate/Skill Course in “Pharmaceutical analysis” for students of M. Sc. Chemistry

The course was conducted during 11 December 2019 to 11 January 2020 having 04 credit and 60 hours. Twenty two (22) students were registered and completed the course. The continuous evaluation of every student was done with and skill tests/assignments/short term projects etc. The final exam was conducted on 20 January 2020. The certificate was given to the participants.


Science Quiz Competition.
Department of chemistry has organized Science Quiz competition on 11th January 2020 to provide platform to express students talent as well as to provide exposure and competency skills among the students. The students of B. Sc. Chemistry Ms Shivani santosh Bokan (B. Sc. S. Y) and Mr. Omkar Kulbhushan Hirap (B. Sc. T. Y.) ranked II and III in science quiz competition

Industry Academic Innovative Practice (IAIP)
The IAIP activity provides a platform for the students and faculty members to interact with industry professionals, this will bridges the gap between industry and academics and form the linkage. In this view department of chemistry has organized a seminar/special lecture of Mr. Pravin B. Bachhav, Manager (Technical Support) CIPET-CSTS Aurangabad on 20 December 2019 for the students of B. Sc. and M. Sc. Chemistry course.

Study Tour at RUSA-Centre for Advanced Sensor Technology at Dr. BAMU Aurangabad

Department of chemistry and physics have jointly organized two days study tour at RUSA-Centre for Advanced Sensor Technology at Dr. BAMU Aurangabad on dated 06 January 2019 and 07 January 2019 for the students of B.Sc.UG course. Fifty four (45) were participated in study tour. Students have visited Sensor Technology Laboratory and attended two day work shop on Advanced Sensor technology organized by RUSA Centre.

Extension Activity
The department of chemistry has organized one day chemistry practical demonstration and guidance camp on 23 December 2019 for IX class students of Sant Meera High School Aurangabad as institutional social responsibility

Best Practices / Innovative practices of department
During academic year 2019-2020 department of chemistry conducted following innovative activities.
• During academic year 2019-2020 department of chemistry have conducted NET/SET coaching for M. Sc. Chemistry students and IITJAM coaching for students of B. Sc. T. Y.
• Department of chemistry conducted Infosys Global Business Foundation Skill (GBFS) program to train students of B. Sc. T. Y. for effective placements.
• Department of chemistry have developed video lectures, assignments, question bank for online teaching & learning.


Extension Activity

The department of chemistry has organized one day chemistry practical demonstration and guidance camp on 23 December 2019 for IX class students of Sant Meera High School Aurangabad as institutional social responsibility

Research Activities:

    (1)   The faculty members of department of chemistry is taking active participation in research and innovation in various aspects of chemical science and publishing research articles in various international peer reviewed, UGC notified journal.
